Material examined. Penaeid—2 F; size range: 21.26 ≤ CW ≤ 23.74 mm; average: CW = 22.5 ± 1.75 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00245.

Station. Penaeid—3.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (North Carolina, Florida, Bermuda, and Gulf of Mexico), Antilles, Guyana, French Guiana, the north of South America, and Brazil (from Pará to São Paulo) (Melo 1996; Viana et al. 2003).

Ecological notes. From shallow waters to 110 m. Found usually on mud, and sand bottoms, also found on rocks, shells, gravels and corals (Melo 1996).

Remarks. Santos et al. (2016) collected specimens were downstream of the São Francisco River, at the border of Alagoas and Sergipe.
