Cronius tumidulus (Stimpson, 1871)

Material examined. Petro-UFS—4 (2 M, 1 F); size range: 9.59 ≤ CW ≤ 20.86 mm; average: CW = 14.51 ± 5.77 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00025. Penaeid—1 M; CW = 8.65 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00251.

Station. Petro-UFS—1, 5, and 12; Penaeid—9.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (Bermuda, Florida, and Gulf of Mexico), Antilles, Guyana, French Guiana, and Brazil (from Amapá to São Paulo) (Melo 1996; Coelho et al. 2008).

Ecological notes. On sand, rock, coral, and algae bottoms (Melo 1996). Collected since the intertidal zone (on Halimeda sp.) to 35 m, as Achelous tumidulus (Almeida et al. 2010) .
