Ecological notes. From intertidal regions to a depth of 124 m. Normally among algae (red and brown), and on a variety of habitats as fine mud, clay, fine sand, broken shells, shell associated with foraminiferans and hydroids, seagrass flats, gorgonians, on polychaete sand reefs, and dead coral (Christoffersen 1982; Almeida et al. 2007 b, 2012).

Remarks. Previously recorded as Rhynchocyclus parvulus Stimpson (Ríos & Carvacho 1982) and as Concordia gibberosus Kingsley (Kingsley 1880; De Grave & Fransen 2011). Might become a junior synonym of Latreutes antiborealis Holthuis due to the close relationship between these two species (Carvacho & Ríos 1982; Ríos & Carvacho 1982).

Previous records in Sergipe. Coelho et al. (1983).
