Remarks. Paracyclois was placed in the Official List of Generic Names (Opinion 73) as “ Paracyclois Miers, 1886, Rep. Voy. ‘Challenger’ (Zool.) 17 (No 2): 288 (gender: feminine) (type species, by monotypy: Paracyclois milneedwardsii Miers, 1886, Rep. Voy. ‘Challenger’ (Zool.) 17 (No 2): 289) (Crustacea, Decapoda)”. This is incorrect and should be cited as Paracyclois Miers, 1885 . But following Articles 79.4 and 80.9 (ICZN 1999), the year 1886 will remain in use until the Commission makes a subsequent correction (Article 80.4).
