Type locality. Tatsienlu-Kiulung, Szetschwan [Sichuan, China].
Type depository. Narodni Muzeum Prirodovedecke Muzeum, Prague, Czech Republic (type specimens not examined).
Redescription. Length 5.0–6.0 mm; oblong-elongate, strongly convex, shiny, glabrous. Head, pronotum, and scutellum black; elytra dirty yellow with piceous suture; legs brown, tarsi paler; antennal club piceous. Head with epistome gibbous, anteriorly transversely carinate, sparsely and finely punctate on disc; punctation coarser and confusedly subrugose distally; clypeus feebly sinuate at middle, widely round on sides, thinly bordered, edge feebly upturned, glabrous; genae obtusely round, setose, protruding from the eyes; front sparsely and irregularly punctate. Pronotum transverse, strongly convex, dually punctate; large punctures six to seven times larger than small punctures, denser on sides; small punctures almost regularly scattered throughout; lateral margins feebly arcuate, thickly bordered, edge sparsely setose; hind angles distinctly truncate; base not bordered, from center to the level of fifth elytral interstria the margin is crenulate by a contiguous belt of large punctures. Scutellum triangularly elongate, flat, with few large punctures on basal third. Elytra oblong, strongly convex, distinctly striate; striae deep, crenulate; interstriae almost flat, sparsely and finely punctate. Protibiae spur regularly acuminate apically in both sexes. Metatibiae superior spur somewhat shorter than first metatarsomere; latter shorter than following 3 metatarsomeres combined. Male: head with epistome more sparsely and less coarsely punctate, frontal suture with distinct median tubercle, the lateral sutures transverse; pronotum without large punctures on disc; inferior spur of metatibiae curved at apex; aedeagus Figs. 27–28. Female: head with epistome more densely and more coarsely punctate; median tubercle of frontal suture transverse, the lateral sutures almost obsolete; pronotum with some large punctures on disc.
Distribution. China (Fujian, Sichuan, Xizang).
Material examined. CHINA: Sichuan: Baoxing, 100 km N of Yaan, 12–14.VII.1995, Z. Jindra leg. (1 specimen, DCG) ; Ta-tsien-lou, 1895 (2 specimens, DCG); 20 km NW Maowen, 2150 m, 7–28.VI.2004, R. Fabbri leg. (2 specimens, DCG) .
Bionomics. Some specimens were collected in coniferous forest above 2000 m.
