Diagnosis: Male palp with a bifid retrolateral tibial apophysis, with the distal parts of upper branch and lower branch crossing each other; and a very long retrolateral patellar apophysis, hooked at the distal end. Epigynal plate with a pronounced atrium anteriorly, copulatory openings concealed at lateral margins of atrium, and a pair of broad epigynal cavities posteriorly. Spermathecae nearly ball-shaped, touching at midline, with a tubeshaped apophysis laterally.

Description: FEMALE (Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia measured). Total length 9.54: cephalothorax 3.15 long, 2.34 wide; abdomen 5.94 long, 3.38 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.15, ALE 0.13, PME 0.16, PLE 0.11; AME–AME 0.13, AME–ALE 0.03, PME–PME 0.05, PME–PLE 0.14, ALE–PLE 0.09. MOA 0.38 long, front width 0.39, back width 0.34. Clypeus height 0.13. Leg formula: 4123.

Leg measurements:

Epigyne as illustrated (Fig. 2), with quadrate convex hairy plate; plate with pronounced, nearly triangular atrium anteriorly, copulatory openings concealed at lateral margins of atrium. Vulva (Fig. 3) with very short copulatory ducts connected with copulatory openings and spermathecae; spermathecae posteriorly nearly ballshaped, touching at midline, each with tube-shaped apophysis laterally.

MALE (Xiuning County, Anhui Province measured). Total length 7.94: cephalothorax 3.31 long, 2.44 wide; abdomen 4.63 long, 2.58 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.13, ALE 0.13, PME 0.13, PLE 0.14; AME–AME 0.13, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.04, PME–PLE 0.15, ALE–PLE 0.09. MOA 0.40 long, front width 0.32, back width 0.29. Clypeus height 0.13. Leg formula: 4123.

Leg measurements:

Male palp (Figs 5–6) with retrolateral patellar apophysis long, hooked at distal end, with bifid retrolateral tibial apophysis, distal parts of upper and lower branches crossing each other. Embolus long, originating prolaterally, median part hidden behind membranous conductor (Fig. 5). Conductor small, distally. Median apophysis large, apex pointing retrolaterally, sclerotized.

Distribution: China (Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Anhui, Gansu); Kazakhstan, Korea, Japan.

Type material. Drassodes lancearius Simon, 1893: the type specimens presumably deposited in the Natural History Museum of Paris, not examined. Drassodes potanini Schenkel, 1963: female holotype from Stada Guidui of Inner Mongolia (May 7, 1885), China, is deposited in the Natural History Museum of Basel, Switzerland, not examined. Coreodrassus coreanus Paik, 1984: type specimens are deposited in the collection of the Kyungpook University, Taegu, Korea, not examined.
