Material examined: China: Yunnan: Kunming County, Pianma Country, Gangfang, 1 male, 1990 m, 26. VII.2006. Kai Shi leg. (IZ-CAS) ; 1 male: Nujiang Lisu Aut. Pref., Nu Shan, 7 km NNW Coajian, 25°43'29''N, 99°07'57''E, 2400 m, secondary pine forst with shrubs, litter, bark, sifted, 11.VI.2007, A. Puthz (cPuthz).
Remarks: This species can be distinguished from S. zhangyejunianus Lv et Zhou, sp. nov. by the following characteristics: smaller body size, faint elytra spot and aedeagus (Figs. 21A & 22A) with longer apical area of parameres.
Distribution: China (Sichuan, Yunnan).
