Material examined: China: FUKIEN, Changtai, District, Farm, 1 male, 18.V.1940, T.C.Maa Collector BISHOP MUS. (coll. Puthz) . Guangxi: Fangchenggang County, Fulong Country, 1 male, 220 m, 15.III.1998, Hai-Sheng Zhou leg. (IZ-CAS); Thailand: 2 females, 30km. W. Chiena Rai. Mr Rougemont det. (IZ-CAS).
Remarks: We found this species in Guangxi; this species is allied to S. zhangyejunianus Lv et Zhou, sp. nov. in most aspects, but it is distinguishable from the latter by the following characteristics: punctures on pronotum less confluent, smaller elytra spot, spot not extending to the lateral margin of elytra and aedeagal median lobe (Figs. 17A & 18A) with more acutely triangular apical sclerotized area.
