Three female specimens bearing syntype labels were located, Gorham (1881) mentions seeing five specimens, all female. The female specimen bearing a “Sp. figured” label is designated as the lectotype, while the other specimens are designated as paralectotypes. Labels for the designated lectotype specimen are as follows:
