Parvindela terricola (Say) View in CoL – Variable tiger beetle (S1)
No specimens of P. terricola were collected during our northern Ontario surveys. The only Ontario records of P. terricola are those reported by Lawton (2008) from near Sherwood Lake and near Clear Lake, Rainy River District, which are at the extreme eastern range limits for this species in North America (Pearson et al. 2015) ( Fig. 14 View Fig ). The subspecies occurring in Ontario is P. terricola terricola (Pearson et al. 2015) . Parvindela terricola is characterized as a western species occurring in open, grassy substrates that are usually alkaline or salty (Pearson et al. 2015).
