Comment: We assign most of our dwarf puddle frogs to P. mababiensis , although this remains a taxonomically challenging group as multiple cryptic taxa are embedded in the group ( Zimkus et al. 2010). Although Channing (2001) illustrated multiple localities in Angola, it has previous only been reported from Lagoa Nutechite ( Poynton and Haacke 1993).
