Material examined. Penaeid—4 (2 F, 2 OF); size range: 3.38 ≤ CSL ≤ 6.62 mm; average: CSL = 4.24 ± 1.58 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00260.
Stations. Penaeid—4 and 9.
Distribution. Western Atlantic—Florida ( USA), Antilles, Mexico, Yucatan, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Colombia, Curaçao, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, the north of South America, and Brazil (Seamount of Fernando de Noronha, from Maranhão to Bahia, and São Paulo) ( Melo 1999; Alves et al. 2006).
Ecological notes. Up to 140 m. On coral reefs, calcareous algae, sponges, and under rocks and Halimeda Lamouroux bottoms ( Veloso & Melo 1993).
Remarks. Petrolisthes serratus Henderson , is similar to, if not identical with, Petrolisthes amoenus ( Rathbun 1900) .
