Distribution. Distribution is poorly known, because of former incorrect synonymization of this species under S. croaticus by Warncke (1992). We examined material from: Austria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Morocco, Turkey and Ukraine.

Biology. This species is collected in low numbers and only few records are known from each country. Host is unknown.
