Measurements. Total length 21.0–23.7; total width 12.2–13.4; head length 1.8–1.9; head width 3.5–3.9; length of antennal articles I: 0.8–1.1; II: 2.0–2.5; III: 1.7–2.0; IV: 4.1–4.9; V: 4.3–4.8; pronotum length 4.1–4.8; pronotum width 14.2–15.1; scutellum length 9.6–11.0; scutellum width 7.4–8.3.

Diagnosis. Species large (21—24 mm) dorsally dark green or bluish green. Base of the head with a median black stain and two stripes that project anteriorly delimiting tylus. Pronotum and scutellum with punctuation black, sometimes on dark spots forming dark lines especially on scutellum ( Fig. 12C View FIGURE 12 ). Evaporatorium concolorous. Connexivum green with medial yellow callus ( Fig. 12C View FIGURE 12 ); segment VII with basal third or less green remaining black, medial yellow callus present. Body ventrally variegated with green (bluish green), yellow and dark brown lines on the edge of sternites and pseudosutures. Antennae yellow to orange. Legs yellow and reddish brown.

Head. Mandibular plates with dark lines on lateral margin and few dark punctures. Tylus with median greenish yellow to yellow stripe ( Fig. 12C View FIGURE 12 ). Ventral surface greenish yellow anteriorly and green distally. First rostral segment clearly surpassing bucculae in lateral view.

Thorax. Pronotum densely punctured, punctures frequently on dark spots; cicatrices variegate with brown, green and greenish yellow, delimiting dark brown furrows surrounded by pale greenish yellow calloused stripes ( Fig. 12C View FIGURE 12 ); anterior delimiting furrow punctured. Anterolateral margin pale yellow to yellow; line of black coarse punctures long, exceeding ½ of the margin. Scutellum with coarse, large, black punctures sparser on anterior half and median longitudinal line than on remaining parts, lateral and distal punctures small, fine and black; most of the punctures on dark spots. Corium with a few yellow veins not branched but forming a rhombus ( Fig 12C View FIGURE 12 ). Propleura with dark stripe alongside concolorous to dark, coarse, dense punctures; lateral margin green. Evaporatorium concolorous with dark stains and rugose. Peritreme long reaching 2/3 of the distance between ostiole of the scent gland and margin of the body. Metasternal process ventrally green, but lateral part predominantly greenish yellow; arms broad and receiving fourth and most of third rostral segment ( Fig. 12D View FIGURE 12 ). Legs with part of trochanters, femora and proximal part of tibiae reddish brown; remaining of fore and mid legs dark yellow, tarsal segments suffused; remaining of hind legs yellow ( Fig. 12D View FIGURE 12 ).

Abdomen. Connexivum with excavations dark and densely punctured, except close to distal margin; base of lateral spines yellow. Lateral part of segment VII, corresponding to ventral side of connexivum, light green with black margin. Large yellow spot surrounding spiracle. Small black rounded spot close to spiracle on each segment ( Fig. 12D View FIGURE 12 ).

Male ( Fig. 2A–C View FIGURE 2 ). Pygophore with posterolateral angles dorsally flattened and well projected posteriorly ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ). Superior process of the genital cup small, short and elliptical. Paramere with posterior process linguiform and laterally curved; dorsal process short and rounded; dorsal margin distinctly excavated ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Proctiger almost entirely black, long, slightly exceeding the level of posterolateral angles ( Figs 2 A, C View FIGURE 2 ); without dorsal crest ( Fig. 2A–B View FIGURE 2 ); dorsal part of posterior face bitumid. Ventral rim medially with dark brown spot; expansions barely developed and not tumid. Ventral surface mostly yellow with green distal stripe and few suffused stains; punctures coarse and concolorous ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ). Phallus long, distal part remarkably developed in a ventral conical expansion ( Fig. 10C View FIGURE 10 ).

Female ( Fig. 2D View FIGURE 2 ). Gonocoxites 8 with lateral margin almost straight and posterior margin slightly curved; punctures concentrated on convex part; sutural border contiguous; gonapophysis 8 not visible. Gonocoxites 9 narrow, distal part straight; punctures black. Laterotergites 8 with black distal margin projected in a black spine that clearly exceeds apex of segment VII. Laterotergites 9 with small part of the base flat; black apices clearly below the level of laterotergites 8. Capsula seminalis globose with processes long, clearly exceeding anterior annular flange, and increasing in length ( Fig. 11C). Ductus receptaculi (tdr) long, clearly longer than capsula seminalis.

Comments. The specimens observed here has the green color (a kind of bluish green) more intense and better preserved than the other species of the genus. This is particularly remarkable on metasternal process that has a green surface, but laterals greenish yellow, as if the structure was painted only on ventral side.

Distribution ( Fig. 14). COSTA RICA: Puntarenas. PANAMA: Chiriquí, Panama.
