Material examined (N=1). 1m, 12/VI/2004, St. 0 1 ( MZUESC #677).

Distribution. Western Atlantic – Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil (from Ceará to São Paulo) ( Melo, 1996).

Ecological notes. Shallow water species living on algae and seagrass meadows, on hard bottoms, and tidal pools ( Melo 1996).
