Type locality. Described from Sciacca , Palermo (Sicily), Patrasso ( Greece).
Remarks. Subsequently figured (1915, pl. IV, fig. 1). Recorded by MolluscaBase (2018) as taxon inquirendum. Wisshak et al. (2008) convincingly suggested that it is a synonym of Neopycnodonte cochlear (Poli, 1795) a position that we share.
