Idiosomal dorsum ( Fig. 17 View FIGURE 17 A) similar with that of H. magnificus sp. nov., but all hysterosomal setae smooth and pointed, posterior part of prodorsal shield with delicate striation ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 C). Lengths of dorsal setae: v 1 38, v 2 16, sc 1 21, sc 2 46, c 1 28, c 2 50, d 27, e 27, f 41, h 1 48, h 2 44. Idiosomal venter ( Figs. 17 View FIGURE 17 B) similar with that of H. magnificus sp. nov., but midsternal plate between coxal fields II and III almost quadrangular. Empodia on tarsi II–IV with unusual undulate anterior margin ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 D). Setae p’ on tarsi II–IV not bifurcate. Leg I ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 A) Setae v’ of trochanter, femur, genu and tibia blunt-ended. Setae v’ of femur and tibia distinctly barbed. Solenidion ω 2 baculiform, distinctly longer than other solenidia on leg I. Solenidion ω 1 thumb-like, reaching slightly beyond tip of tarsus. Solenidion φ 1 clavate, φ 2 finger-shaped. Lengths of solenidia: ω 1 9, ω 2 12, φ 1 8, φ 2 7. Leg II ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 18 B). Setae v’ of trochanter and l’ of femur blunt-ended. Setae l’ of femur barbed. Solenidion φ well-developed, clavate ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 B). Lengths of solenidia: ω 10, φ 4. Leg III ( Figs. 19 View FIGURE 19 A, 20D). All setae of leg III smooth and pointed, except blunt-ended p’. Solenidion φ 4 long. All setae of leg III smooth and pointed, except blunt-ended p’. Leg IV as in Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 B.

MALE and IMMATURES unknown.

Material examined. Female holotype, slide 1540, UZBEKISTAN, dry loess in layer of 0–5 cm, East of Samarkand, 0 2 May 1982, coll. S.A. Sharipov.

Type deposition. Holotype currently deposited in the mite collection of the Tyumen State University Museum of Zoology, Tyumen, Russia.

Remarks. In the original description of H. sogdianicus authors mentioned absence of setae on trochanter I and solenidion on tibia II. Our study of the holotype revealed these structures present and well-developed ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 B).
