T. nigra; capite-laevi et nitido, antice pube cinerea tecto; thorace nitido, alis subhyalinis, abdomine castaneorufo.
Worker. Length 1 1/2 line. Head and thorax black: the face, above the insertion of the antennae, smooth and shining; the antennae rufotestaceous; the clypeus with a hoary pubescence; its anterior margin, and also the mandibles, ferruginous. Thorax smooth and shining, the metathorax highly polished; the wings subhyaline and iridescent, the stigma and nervures ferruginous. Abdomen ferruginous, smooth and shining.
