Material examined. St. 2: 1 individual; St. 11: 1 individual; St. 12: 5 individuals; St. 13: 1 individual. Distribution. Eastern Atlantic Ocean ( San Martín et al. 1996); Aegean Sea ( Simboura & Zenetos 2005); Adriatic Sea (present data) and Sea of Sardinia (present data), Western Mediterranean.

Remarks. The examined individuals perfectly correspond to the original description ( San Martín et al., 1996). This is the first occurrence of this species in Italian waters.
