Prodorsal shield 47 (45–50) long, 60 (58–61) wide; subtriangular; frontal lobe acuminate; median line present 2/3 at base, admedian and submedian lines connected by transverse lines at basal 2/3, submedian lines connected at base. Scapular tubercles near rear margin, 30 (28–31) apart, scapular setae (sc) 5 (4–6) projecting posterior. Coxal area smooth; anterolateral setae on coxisternum (1b) 7 (6–9), proximal setae on coxisternum (1a) 17 (15–20), proximal setae on coxisternum (2a) 40 (40–41). Prosternal apodeme present. Legs with usual series of setae. Legs 32 (30–34), femur 10 (9–10), basiventral femoral setae (bv) 9 (8–11); genu 5 (4–5), antaxial genual setae (l'') 22 (20–24); tibia 8 (8–9), paraxial tibial setae (l') 4 (4–5), setae located 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 6 (5–6); tarsal empodium simple, 4rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Legs 28 (26–30), femur 8 (7–8), basiventral femoral setae (bv) 7 (6–9); genu 4 (4–5), antaxial genual setae (l'') 7 (6–7); tibia 6 (5–6); tarsus 6 (5–6); tarsal empodium simple, 4rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Opisthosoma: dorsal opisthosoma with 30 (29–32) annuli, smooth, ventrally with 69 (67–71) microtuberculate annuli. Setae c2 23 (20–26) on ventral annulus 11 (11–12); setae d 56 (50–63) on ventral annulus 23 (22–24); setae e 21 (19–23) on ventral annulus 44 (43–46), setae f 28 (25–31) on 5th ventral annulus from rear. Setae h1 3 (3–4). Female genitalia 16 (15–16) long, 22 (21–23) wide, coverflap with 8 longitudinal ridges and 2 transverse lines at base, proximal setae on coxisternum (3a) 20 (18–22).

Types
Holotype, female, China : Shaanxi Province, Yang County, 33°31.08’N, 107°40.14’E. August 10, 2005, from Ligustrum lucidum Ait. (Oleaceae) , coll. Xue, XiaoFeng & Song, ZiWei. Paratypes, 7 females and 1 male, with the same data as holotype.
Relation to host
Mites are vagrant on leaf surface, causing no apparent damage.
Remarks
This species is similar to Tetra guiyangensis Kuang & Hong, 1989 , but can be differentiated by prodorsal shield median line separate from admedian lines (connected in T. guiyangensis ), female coverflap with two transverse lines at base (absent in T. guiyangensis ).
Two Tetra spp. have already been described from the plant family Oleaceae View in CoL (genera Forsythia View in CoL and Syringa View in CoL ). They are T. forsythiae Boczek (1961) and T. balasi Farkas (1963) , respectively. However, T. lucidi differ more from T. forsythiae and T. balasi than T. guiyangensis .
