Diagnosis. Males of S. dentichelis ( Figs 20 View FIGURES 19 – 23 , 113 View FIGURES 113 – 116. S ) are similar to those of S. pterodactyla ( Figs 50 View FIGURES 47 – 50 , 175 View FIGURES 174 – 179. S ) by having the sperm duct opening at the base of the embolus, but can be recognized by not having an acute paraembolic projection like that present in S. pterodactyla . Females of this species resemble those of S. histrio , both in coloration (compare Fig. 111 View FIGURES 108 – 112. S with Fig. 159) and by the slender, folded spermathecae ( Figs 116 View FIGURES 113 – 116. S , 161), but can be recognized by the presence of rims on the lateral fields ventrally on the epigynal plate ( Fig. 115 View FIGURES 113 – 116. S ).
