Dysonia (Dysonia) pirani View in CoL Costa Lima & Guitton, 1961
Fig. 10K View FIGURE 10
Distribution: Argentina: Cordoba, Misiones, Santiago del Estero; Brazil: Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná.
New record for the Paraná State.
Comments: The taxonomic interpretation of this species is tricky, as the species needs to be revised (Cadena-Castañeda, pers. comm.), what also makes the interpretation of its distribution quite complicated. The individual not even runs to Dysonia in the key for the genera of the Dysonia complex presented by Cadena-Castañeda (2011): it presents the pronotum with lateral margin expanded, and carinae of the metazona elevated, besides the reduced spines on the posterior femora, running to the genera Lichenodentix Cadena-Castañeda, 2011 or Lichenomorphus Cadena-Castañeda, 2011 . However, the individual presents pronotum without teethed borders (as in Lichenomorphus ) and subgenital plate smaller than cerci (as in Lichenodentix ).
