Caliadurgus Pate, 1946 View in CoL (= Calicurgus Lepeletier View in CoL de Saint Fargeau, 1845, type species Pompilus fasciatellus Spinola, 1808 View in CoL = Sphex hyalinata Fabricius, 1793 View in CoL , by subsequent designation of Kohl 1884: 45; nom. praeocc., nec Calicurgus Brullé, 1833 View in CoL ).
Type species. Pompilus fasciatellus Spinola, 1808 , by automatic designation (see Calicurgus Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau, 1845) (Article 67.8 of the Code ( ICZN 1999)); the supposed designation of Sphex hyalinata Fabricius, 1793 as type species ( Pate 1946: 78) is invalid.

Cryptocheilus Panzer, 1806 View in CoL
Type species. Sphex annulata Fabricius, 1798 , by subsequent designation of Westwood 1840: 82. According to Opinion 1820 ( ICZN 1995) the Lichtenstein's work (1796) is suppressed for nomenclatural purposes and Sphex annulata Fabricius 1798 is not the junior homonym of Sphex annulata Lichtenstein 1796 and the supposed synonymy of type species ( Wahis 1986) is invalid. A new synonymy of the type species is proposed: Sphex annulata Fabricius, 1798 (= Pompilus alternatus Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau, 1845, syn. nov.; = Pompilus comparatus Smith, 1855 , syn. nov.; = Priocnemis culpabilis Costa, 1893 , syn. nov.; Salius annulatilis Richards, 1935 , syn. nov.)
