Description. General appearance as in Jilinga linzhiensis sp. nov., but body more slender ( Figs. 40–45 View FIGURES 37 – 45 ).
Male genitalia. Male pygofer side elongate, slightly narrowed caudally in lateral aspect, posterior margin with many macrosetae ( Fig 28 View FIGURES 28 – 36 ). Anal tube with well developed pair of appendages directed posteroventrally with distal margins serrate ( Fig 29 View FIGURES 28 – 36 ). Aedeagus with short preatrium attached to complex dorsal connective, aedeagal shaft with only five short spines on each side, spines asymmetrical, gonopore apical ( Figs 32, 33 View FIGURES 28 – 36 ). Connective, loopshaped with arms fused apically, stem shorter than arms ( Figs 34, 35 View FIGURES 28 – 36 ).
Measurement. Length (including tegmen): Chinese mainland specimens, male, 4.0–4.1 mm, female, 4.1–4.2 mm ( Figs 40–42 View FIGURES 37 – 45 ); Taiwanese specimens: male, 2.8–3.0 mm, female, 3.1–3.3 mm ( Figs 43–45 View FIGURES 37 – 45 ).
Remarks. Specimens from Guizhou ( Figs 40–42 View FIGURES 37 – 45 ) and Taiwan ( Figs 43–45 View FIGURES 37 – 45 ) differ somewhat in external appearance, but the male genital structure is the same.
Host. Grasses.
Type material. Holotype 3, CHINA: Guizhou Prov. Daozhen County, 25 May 2004, coll. Bin Zhang and Pian Xu ( GUGC). Paratypes: 3 3, 2 Ƥ, same data as holotype; 1 3, Guizhou Prov., Daozhen County, 17 August 2004, coll. Maofa Yang; 236Ƥ, Taiwan, Gaoxiong City, Taoyuan, 21 November 2002, coll. Zizhong Li ( GUGC).
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to J. darjilingensis and J. linzhiensis but the male pygofer side lacks a process on the posteroventral margin, the anal tube appendages have the distal margins serrate, the aedeagal shaft is parcidentate with the spines asymmetrical on both sides, and the structure of the dorsal connective is also different.
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin word “ asymmetrica ”, referring to the asymmetrical serrations on the aedeagal shaft.
