( Figs 153–154, 290)
Dohrniphora utriensis Brown & Kung, 2007: 185–186 View in CoL , figs. 117–118.
Species recognition. This species is most easily separated from others with a spinuli-filled concavity by the dark short, somewhat inflated palpus, the brown halter, and the relatively large, rounded basal area of white membrane ( Figs 153–154, 290). It was originally described from a specimen with one hind tibial seta, but many more specimens lack such setae.
Distribution. Costa Rica to Colombia.
Material examined. 7♂ specimens from the following localities: BRAZIL: Amazonas: Manaus ( INPA, LACM) . COLOMBIA: Chocó: PNN Utría ( LACM, IAVH) . COSTA RICA: Heredia: La Selva Biological Station ( INBC, LACM) .
