Apogon pseudomaculatus Longley, 1932 

UFESAbout UFES 175 (2 specimens) and UFBA 0 2797 (3 specimens) from Diogo Vaz.. This species, previously only known from the western Atlantic, was encountered at a steep rocky cliff in 37 to 41 m depth ( Figure 10). It appeared to be common in small caves and under ledges. Its identity was confirmed in a genetic comparison with Brazilian specimens of the same species (Rocha, unpublished).
