Promalactis magnipuncti Kim and Park , sp. nov.
( Figs. 1I,J; 2E View Figure 2 ; 3I,J View Figure 3 )
Diagnosis
This species is externally similar to the Chinese species, Promalactis projecta Wang , in wing pattern of forewing, but it can be easily distinguished by the male genitalia with the gnathos bearing dense hairs on the inner surface, and valva incised apically, sacculus in sclerotized with pointed apex.
Description
Adult ( Figures 1I,J; 2E View Figure 2 ). Head: frons white; vertex greyish dark brown; occiput brown tinged with fuscous scales. Antennal scape white entirely, shorter than diameter of eye; flagellum white, alternated with dark brown. Labial palpus dark brown dorsally; second segment tinged with grey scales from base; third segment with white apex, shorter than second segment. Thorax and tegula dark brown. Wing expanse 8.5–9.0 mm. Forewing ground colour brown; costal patch white, large, triangular, just beyond middle of costa; sub-basal band narrow, oblique, edged by fuscous scales, not reaching costal margin; antemedian white band nearly vertical, toward one-third of costa but not reaching costal margin; a white large triangular patch surrounded by fuscous scales on two-thirds of posterior margin; a small, round, white spot beyond end of cell and another larger, quadrate, white spot at apex; fuscous scales along termen from the apex to tornus. Hindwing more or less lanceolate; fringes greyish brown. Leg dark brown; tarsi with white scales at base of each segment; hind tibia paler, with two pairs of spurs with dark brown apex.
Male genitalia ( Figure 3I,J View Figure 3 ). Uncus wide at base, gradually narrower to apex, with more or less acute apex. Gnathos tongue-shaped, slightly longer than uncus, bearing dense hairs on inner surface. Valva broad basally, incised apically, with spine-like process before middle on costa; sacculus sclerotized and asymmetrical with pointed apical spine on right one but without strong apical spine on left one. Saccus belllike, one-third length of valva. Aedeagus slender, strongly bent at two-thirds, cornutus present and one-third length of aedeagus.

Etymology
The specific name of the new species is derived from the Latin magni (= large) plus puncti (= spot), referring to large white spots on forewing.
