The name refers to this being close to, but not being, C. depressus .
Male. Length and greatest breadth of postpedicel subequal. Left side of epandrium as Fig. 96 View FIGURES 96–98 , right side as Fig. 97 View FIGURES 96–98 and gonopods and hypandrium as Fig. 98 View FIGURES 96–98 . Wing 0.9–1.3 mm long. Costal index 0.56– 0.70. Vein 3 with a terminal vesicle which extends about level with tip of costa, but varies from being slightly shorter to slightly longer. Distal half, or more, of mid tibia is white.
Material. Holotype male, Brazil, Rondônia Fazenda, Rancho Grande, near Caculandia , flight interception trap, 25 December 1995, D. H. & A. C. Kistner ( CUMZ, 31-4) . Paratypes, 3 males as holotype. 1 male as holotype except 28 December 1995 ( CUMZ, 31-5) . 1 male, Costa Rica, Prov. Limón, Bribri , 4 km NE, 50 m, December 1989 to March 1990, P.
