The name refers to Giar-Ann Kung a collector of this and other species in Costa Rica.
Male. Length and greatest breadth of postpedicel subequal. Left side of epandrium from below as Fig. 77 View FIGURES 77–78 and right side from below as Fig. 78 View FIGURES 77–78 . Wing 1.3–1.4 mm long. Costal index 0.53–0.54. Vein 3 with a terminal vesicle which extends beyond tip of costa. All tibiae are brown.
Material. Holotype male, Costa Rica, Puntarenas, Las Cruces Biological Station , 8.80 o N, 82.97 o W, 1200 m, Malaise trap, 7–17 November 2005, G. Kung & A. Kreuter ( CUMZ, 26-77) GoogleMaps . Paratype, 1 male, as holotype except 14–19 September 2005 ( LACM, 26-77) .
