The name refers to Dr Stephen Compton who gave me the specimen.
Male. Length and greatest breadth of postpedicel subequal. Lobes of hypandrium as Fig. 32 View FIGURES 31– 32 . Posterior face of hind femur and tibia as Fig. 31 View FIGURES 31– 32 . Wing 1.0– 1.1 mm long. Costal index 0.51–0.52. Vein 3 without a terminal vesicle and extending only slightly beyond tip of costa. All tibiae are pale brown.
Material. Holotype male, Costa Rica, Guanacaste, Volcan Rincon , April 1984, R. Baker, leg. S. Compton ( CUMZ, 6-45).
