An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages, including the undescribed nymph, are usually found on Soricomorpha : Soricidae ; adults and nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia : Muridae ; adults alone have been collected from Macroscelidea : Macroscelididae . There are no records of Ixodes nchisiensis causing human parasitism.
