A Palearctic species whose females have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae and Cervidae , and Carnivora : Ursidae ; larvae and nymphs have been collected from Rodentia : Muridae , and Soricomorpha : Talpidae , and larvae alone have been recovered from Rodentia : Cricetidae . Ixodes monospinosus is a sporadic parasite of humans.
