An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Testudines : Testudinidae , and Squamata : Varanidae , with some infrequent records from Artiodactyla : Bovidae , Camelidae and Suidae . Amblyomma falsomarmoreum is a very rare parasite of humans.
