An Australasian species whose adults are usually found on Dasyuromorphia : Myrmecobiidae .All known parasitic stages have been recorded from Squamata : Elapidae , while females alone have been collected from Dasyuromorphia : Myrmecobiidae . There are no records of Ixodes vestitus causing human parasitism.
