27. Dermacentor panamensis Apanaskevich and Bermúdez, 2013 .
A Neotropical species whose adults are usually found on Rodentia : Erethizontidae ; larvae and nymphs are commonly collected from Rodentia : Cricetidae . Adults and nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia : Erethizontidae ; adults alone have been taken from Pilosa (unknown family) and Rodentia (unknown family); larvae and nymphs have also been found on Rodentia : Heteromyidae and Sciuridae ; while nymphs alone have been collected from Chiroptera : Vespertilionidae . There are no records of Dermacentor panamensis causing human parasitism.
