An Oriental species, all of whose parasitic stages, including the undescribed larva, have been found on Artiodactyla : Tragulidae , and Rodentia : Muridae ; adults and nymphs have been collected from Carnivora : Canidae and Viverridae ; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla : Cervidae and Suidae , Carnivora : Felidae and Ursidae , and Perissodactyla : Tapiridae , while nymphs alone have been found on Rodentia : Sciuridae , and Scandentia : Tupaiidae . Haemaphysalis semermis is a rare parasite of humans.
