Description. General colour light brown. Genae yellowish. Ocelli and frons encompassed by a quadrate area of light yellow ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Clypeal area and labrum yellowish. Scape and pedicel of antennae light brown, rest of antennae brown. Palpi light brown. Pronotum trapezoidal, light brown with light yellow median stripe, rugosities lighter. Legs light brown, tibiae and tarsi darker. Wing light brown hyaline and veins brown, C, Sc and R veins darker. Abdomen yellowish. Cerci brownish.
Male. Forewing length, 9.7–10.9 mm, n=15. Hammer ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ) a simple truncate cone. Penial armature ( Figs. 15, 16 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ), in dorsal view, narrows abruptly in a distal quarter to a rounded apex; hooks distinctly curved around apical part of the penial armature. In lateral view, distal portion of the hooks slightly curved dorsally and with rugosities, surface of distal half irregular, apices pointed. Distal ventral vesicles absent.
Female. Forewing length, 12.1–16.7 mm, n=15. Subgenital plate four-lobed ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 17 – 18 ), median lobes separated by a slightly deep rounded notch; lateral notches shallow. Posterior margin of St9 sinuous to almost straight, slightly sclerotized, lateral longer hairs moderately dense; some long hairs at margin. Egg oval, blackish, 0.34 x 0.19 mm ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 17 – 18 ).
Remarks. This species differs from its congeners in having penial hooks that curve much further dorsally. Etymology. Singularis , Latin, meaning unique. The name is in reference to the unique penial armature of the species.
