Members of the B. kareni species-group are pale-coloured moths with yellowish reniform; in the male genitalia the saccus triangular; the valvae are asymmetrical; ampullae are asymmetrical, forming circle, right valva larger than left one; tegumen ventrally fused with fultura superior with a prominent, log-like process on each side; left process free, rounded apically; right process fused at both ends; aedeagus curved subapically and subbasally, not obviously tapered towards apex; the vesica with a row of more than 5 triangular cornuti.
