Type. Jeremia grossedentata Redtenbacher , by original monotypy.

Remark. Jeremia may be recognized by both sexes having conspicuous spines at the medioventral carina of mid and posterior legs. Furthermore, females also have spines at meso and metanotum, humps on tergite 7 and by having a prominent gonapophysis 8, which is longer than tergites 8–10 combined ( Hennemann & Conle, 2010). As for males, they have a globose head vertex and the subgenital plate (sternite 9) has an indentation at posterior margin ( Hennemann & Conle, 2010).

Distribution. Brazil (Roraima [new record]); Bolivia; Ecuador; Peru ( Fig. 7A View FIGURE 7 ).
