Remarks. Adults were described and illustrated in Grubbs (2006); the larva remains undescribed. The combination of the asymmetric dorsal (Figs. 1–2, 4, 6) and ventral sclerites (Figs. 1–2), plus the inner epiproct member that is flanged and directed laterally with the flange lip enlarged apically (Figs. 2–5), aligns this species closely with S. calcarea and S. vallicularia .

The known distribution of S. alexandria is along a narrow latitudinal and longitudinal band from Cumberland Plateau region in northwestern Alabama westward to northern Mississippi and northward through middle Tennessee ( Fig. 79 View FIGURE 79 ).
