Clitobius lineicollis (Fairmaire, 1879) : Fairmaire (1885: CCVI). Synonymy by Löbl et al. (2008: 261).

= Halonomus schneideri Allard, 1882 : LXXXVI. Synonymy with H. lineicollis by Fairmaire (1885: CCVI).

Clitobius (Halonomus) Schneideri Allard, 1883 [sic!]. Synonymy with H. oblongiusculus by Bedel (1897: 36).

= Clitobius ovatus borkouensis Pierre, 1961: 1043 . Synonymy by Purchart & Kamiński (2017: 148).

Note. It is unclear from the original description of Halomenus lineicollis whether the description was based on one or several specimens. Therefore a lectotype for H. lineicollis is designated following Recommendation 73F (“Avoidance of assumption of holotype ”) of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature ( ICZN 1999).
