Diagnosis. Habitus similar to Dicranocentrus . Apically rounded or truncate scales present, as in other Heteromurini . Ant. I subdivided, Ant. II subdivided or undivided, Ant. III–IV annulated, devoid of scales. Dorsal head lacking A1, M3–4, S0, S2 mac. Postantennal organ absent. Eyes 8+8. Prelabral chaetae smooth and not bifurcate, at least labral a1 chaeta enlarged. Eyes 8+8, postantennal organ absent. Trunk dorsal macrochaetotaxy reduced, Abd. I devoid of mac, Abd. V with three sens. Unguis short, internally with only the basal paired teeth, unguiculus excavated (swollen at its basis with the apical internal region concave). Proximal dens with a typically falcate (sinuous) ciliate mac, dental spines absent, mucro bidentate, without the mucronal spine (adapted from Bellini et al. 2021).
