Sonan (1943: 471) mentioned that this species was rather rare in Taiwan and he had examined 21 Ƥ and 5 3 from Chikutou, Hatonosawa at the foot of Taiheizan, Hori, Kayahara, Koushun, Musha, Souzan, Taiheizan, Taihoku and Urai (in Bunzan-gun).
