Atrichopogon (Psilokempia) quadrispinosus Remm, 1993: 196 View in CoL (male, female, figs, Far East of Russia). Syn. nov. Atrichopogon (Psilokempia) pectinacaudalis Yu & Yan , in Yu et al. 2006: 457 (female, China). Syn. nov.
Diagnosis. The only species within the subgenus Psilokempia with single, finger-like caudomedian process of female sternite VII. Eyes pubescent. Proximal flagellomeres spherical. Fifth palpal segment conical. Wing membrane with few macrotrichia at apex. Paratergite bearing 1 seta. Scutellum with 4 bristles.
Description. Female. Body uniformly yellowish. Eyes pubescent, narrowly fused for distance of 2 ommatidia. Proximal flagellomeres spherical ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 M), AR 1.62. Fifth palpal segment conical ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 F), mandible with 11 teeth. Wing with 5–20 macrotrichia at apex, length 0.80–0.92 mm, CR 0.67–0.71. Second radial cell 2.3–2.4 times longer than first ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G). Paratergite with 1 seta. Scutellum with 2 large submedian setae and smaller. Sternite VII with single, finger-like caudomedian process. Sternite VIII with 7 strong blunt spines. Sternite IX with small spines ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Seminal capsule single, ovoid, neck very short, 0.070–0,080 mm long ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 U).
Male. Similar to female, with usual sexual differences ( Remm 1993).
Material examined. Lectotype female, present designation, labeled as follows: Taihoku, Formosa, H. Sauter 1912, paratypus, Atrichopogon myrmedon, Kieffer det.; paralectotype female, labeled as follows: Taihoku, Formosa, H. Sauter 1912, Holotypus, Atrichopogon myrmedon, Kieffer det. Paralectotype female, Taihoku, Formosa, H. Sauter 1912, 7 XI.
Discussion. Kieffer’s original descriptions do not mention the labels „ holotype or „ paralectotype associated with the two preserved specimens, which we treat as syntypes. The better-preserved specimen is designated as the lectotype here. The unique ventral armatures of female genitalia of A. myrmedon ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ), A. quadrispinosus ( Remm, 1993) , and A. pectinicaudalis ( Liu et al. 2006) are identical. Consequently, A. quadrispinosus and A. pectinicaudalis are considered new junior synonyms of A. myrmedon . New synonymies.
