Sorolopha asphaeropa Diakonoff, 1973: 87 View in CoL , fig. 148 (3 genit., South New Guinea).
Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. sphaerocopa ( Meyrick, 1930) in male genitalia, but the cucullus has a broadly rounded apex, which is narrow in S. sphaerocopa . It also resembles S. asymmetrana Kuznetsov, 2003 in male genitalia, but it can be separated by having the ventral prominence of the cucullus more rectangular apically.
Material examined. China: 13, Shangsi (22°09' N, 107°58' E), Guangxi Province, 510 m, 6-IV-2002, leg. Shulian Hao & Huaijun Xue.
Distribution. China (Guangxi), New Guinea.
Remarks. This species is recorded for the first time from China.
