Red Sea main basin: Egypt ( Klunzinger 1871, as Amphisile punctulata  ), Saudi Arabia ( Lieske & Myers 2010). General distribution: Red Sea, western Indian Ocean: East and South Africa to Seychelles and Madagascar.
