Except for a single collection, all previous specimens of Syncomistes rastellus have been captured within the Drysdale River system ( Fig. 35). The exception is a single specimen (WAM P.32784-001) collected in 2006 from Flying Fox Creek, a tributary of Lake Argyle in the Ord River system ( Fig. 35). This anomaly warrants further field investigation.
