Laubieropsis norvegica Zhadan & Atroshchenko, 2012
Laubieriopsis norvegica Zhadan & Atroshchenko, 2012:3–9 View in CoL , Figs. 2–4 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 .
TL: Norway, North Sea , 340 m , mud. D: Northeastern North Sea , 300–350 m depth .
Diagnosis. Laubieriopsis with 22 chaetigers. Anterior and posterior segments entire, not annulated. First 4 anterior parapodia with sigmoid aciculars, neurochaetae often bidentate. Median and posterior parapodia without aciculars, one capillary, sometimes a smaller one. Genital papillae paired in posterior area of chaetiger 8. Last chaetiger with one thick acicular notochaetae and three capillary neurochaetae, barely overpassing pygidium.
Remarks. Laubieriopsis norvegica resembles L. cabiochi because they have a similar number of chaetigers and in their anterior chaetigers there are bidentate aciculars, but their main difference is the type of genital papillae (GP). In L. norvegica , the GP are paired, whereas they are single in L. cabiochi .
Laubieriopsis norvegica differs from all species of the Fauveliopsidae by the highly reduced chaetal bunds in median and posterior parapodia. Whereas all fauveliopsid species have one, rarely two aciculars in each parapodial ramus, noto- and neuropodia of chaetigers 5–21 in L. norvegica bear one fine, slender capillary and one even smaller chaeta which may be absent.
