Types. Holotype, female, China: Shaanxi Province, Foping County, 33°30.48’N, 107°58.52’E. September 5, 2004, from Lonicera sp L. ( Caprifoliaceae ), coll. Xue, Xiao-Feng & Song, Zi-Wei. Paratypes, 4 females and 1 male, with the same data as holotype.
Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed. Etymology. The specific designation lonicerae is from the generic name of type host plant, Lonicera . Remarks. This species is similar to Epitrimerus armeniacae Kuang, Luo & Wang, 2005 , but can be differentiated by the absence of the median line (median line present in E. armeniacae ), coxal area with granules (coxal area with short lines in E. armeniacae ), prosternal apodeme long (prosternal apodeme short in E. armeniacae ).
