Morphostenophanes metallicus species group ( metallicus -group)
The Morphostenophanes metallicus species group is characterized by relatively small body size, extremely slender antennae and legs; head and pronotum with very smooth surfaces, with intense metallic luster; elytra shortened, fusiform, striate, intervals evenly convex, or intermittently expanded and convex, forming tubercles; ovipositor shortened, abruptly narrowing terminally from apical third.
